依"Tap and Jazz"書中表示，在ragtime時期的重要音樂舞蹈型態─"The turkey trot"&"The foxtrot"

介紹此時期經典，"Scott Joplin - "Maple leaf Rag""

Wait.!介紹一個此時NY重要的Theater─ "The Ziegfeld Follies(1907-31)"

4‧The big band
引述"Tap and Jazz"書中提到

Big bands had up to 25musicians playing saxophones(薩克斯風), trumpets(小號), and trombones(長號), 
and also included a rhythm section(節奏樂器組合)
來段VCR吧~


Band的型態就是 上述的"The big band"的型態!但加上個驚喜!哈~就是"Nicholas Brothers"

補充一個" The Cotton Club"
引述"Tap and Jazz"書中提到，
"The Cotton Club"是在New York的一個相當著名的Jazz club‧而在書中也提Nicholas Brothers,是當時在Cotton club中著名的"flash dancers"唷。 Nicholas Brothers 在club中總會有許多另人讚嘆不已的表演動作，也大獲好評。



影片中可以看出那種表演型態.........而且有一幕是"Gregory Hines"嗎?(5分23秒左右)....應該不是我看錯吧!哈~

5‧Sweet jazz

The musicians played a soft and romantic melody , accompanied by singing.
